Lots have happened during this journey including professional progress and personal growth.
My journey with Gardewine began with a temporary position as vacation relief an opportunity given to me by Rob Penner. This initial role quickly evolved into a full-time position in dispatch. It was here, at the start of my career, that I was first mentored by Rob, who saw my potential and guided me through the foundational aspects of the business.
As I progressed, my dedication led to a promotion to dispatch supervisor, and later, to customer service manager. It was during these roles that my development was further shaped by Fred Shanoha, who coached me on leadership, strategy, and the nuances of managing people and client relationships. His guidance was instrumental in preparing me for my next major step.
The culmination of my journey at Gardewine came with my promotion to regional manager for Northern Ontario. This final role brought all my previous experiences and mentorship together. My path, from temporary relief to a senior leadership position, was a testament to the opportunities I was given and the invaluable guidance I received from both Rob Penner and Fred Shanoha.
